The Organic Bread Lady
One thing great about my job is all the interesting people I get to meet. One of them is the Organic Bread Lady. She is from Topley (a little town about 1/2 from Houston) and she bakes bread the old fashioned way.
And I actually mean the way they did it 100 years ago. She has on outdoor oven, she grinds the wheat herself, and adds all sorts of wonderful things like oats and flax and rye. And everything is organic - no fillers, no preservatives, no chemicals.
This bread is wonderful. It's so good. As I write this I'm sitting in the office at work and I am literally ripping hunks off the loaf and eating it. It goes great with the gourmet coffee I begged off of the Community Development office across the hall.
This job just gets better and better
