details, details, details

So, people have been asking for more details...

As for dodging critical calls from people, unfortunately I can't give any more details than that. My lips are sealed by my contract. Go to www.houston-today.com for more information on my articles. Some people don't like what I write. The other week I got my first critical letter from a parent of a child I had written an article about. For more detail on that child, go to the entry entitled "the star reporter enters her second week". The girl who was 11-going-on-40? It was her dad that thought I didn't include ALL the trophies and prizes she won. Two words: Chill out.

The course that I'm taking right now? Medical Terminology II - taken through distance education. The great thing is that in one day I almost caught up. The tests are surprisingly easy. I mean, you still have to know the stuff, but multiple choice and fill in the blank? Pshaw. I wrote three tests yesterday and in 45 minutes caught up to where I was supposed to be. The course is a prereq for Medical Transcriptionst which I hope to start in September. After that I can work at home in my underwear if I wanted to and just type out medical records. It might be nice after spending a year or two running around town, chasing down people and doing interviews...

and for the last thing - pictures of our house... well, the ones I have access to right now. We turned our living room into a workshop to paint the doors. We're still not quite done painting and decorating, so I don't have official "after" pictures yet. I'm planning on getting some new pillows and a new picture for above the couch... the chosen accent colour? Red.

Thanks for the one you sent me Di!
It made me cry, and that my friend is a good thing.
