everywhere
the past two weeks have reminded me of a verse of S.T. Coleridge's, "Rime of the Ancient Mariner":
Water, water everywhere
And all the boards did shrink
Water, water everywhere
And not a drop to drink.
In the poem, the main character is stuck on boat in the middle of the ocean... I guess being in the middle of the ocean is like being in in the middle of the desert if you don't have any fresh water to drink... but maybe it's worse because the surrounding salty water just taunts you... And also in this verse, they're stuck in the doldrums, which is this place in either Atlantic or Pacific Ocean which seems to have current or wind... so you can't really go anywhere, which is where the saying, "stuck in the doldrums" came from...
so ends the tangent... anyways, I have felt a similar way about paint... Paint, paint everywhere... and it seems to have no end... Slowly the peach and orange are diminishing... the living room and hallway are looking spectacular. Mike and I have been painting for two weeks straight and the hard work is finally paying off.
